Brush up your Spanish with the Easy Spanish team in Oaxaca, Mexico! Our Winter School is a 12 day in-person program that focusses on improving your spoken Spanish through educational and recreational activities, most of them on the streets, Easy-Spanish-style!

This year, our in-person school takes place in mid January. The program starts in the morning of Monday, January 13, and ends on Friday, January 24, in the evening. Travel to and from Oaxaca should take place before/after those dates.
Program & curriculum
We’re working on a 100% conversation-focused set of activities that will allow you to boost your spoken Spanish. In the mornings you’ll attend conversation classes designed by our didactics team and in the afternoons we’ll organize activities that will focus on speaking Spanish so you can put into practice what you’ve learned, together with the Easy Spanish team and with strangers on the street - yes, just like in our videos 😉

We're currently fine-tuning the program, which means that the activities listed may be subject to change. Here's a glimpse of the activities we've already earmarked: Walking tour around Oaxaca, local food tasting excursions, visit to Museo de las Culturas de Oaxaca, scavenger hunt, tortilla making class, talent show, karaoke, games & movie nights.

Intensive conversational Spanish course
The Easy Spanish Winter School includes 30 hours of Spanish conversational classes. This intensive course trains Spanish for everyday communication and is taught in groups according to your level.
On the weekend
Day trip to Teotitlán del Valle!
Join us for a fun day trip to Teotitlán del Valle, a charming Zapotec village known for its amazing handwoven textiles. You'll get to explore local workshops, chat with the talented weavers, and see how their beautiful rugs and tapestries are made. We’ll also stop by some local spots to enjoy delicious Oaxacan food and soak up the village’s rich culture. It's a great way to dive into the traditions and language of the area while having a relaxed, enjoyable time together.

Language Levels
We welcome students from all language levels (A1 to C2). As most of our activities are based on conversational exercises in groups, we recommend students acquire at least basic A1-level skills before the start of the program in order to participate.

The tuition for the Easy Spanish Winter School is 950 € (incl. 16% VAT to be taxed in Mexico).
To enable participants from all backgrounds and walks of life to join, we reserve an equal number of spots at a reduced price and at a supporter price. If the regular price is beyond your means, you can apply for the reduced price in your application. If you’re in a position to support others, selecting the supporter price helps us maintain a diverse group of learners.

Registration Process
Our goal is to create a unique and personal learning experience for all participants. Unfortunately, this means that spots are limited.
Application form
Fill out the application form before October 6, 2024.
Registration & payment
We will inform you via email about the status of your application a few days after submission. Once you get a confirmation email, you will have 5 days to confirm and complete your registration by paying the participation fee. You’ll be also provided with a link to pay the participation fees.

You can cancel your participation up to 8 weeks prior to the start of the program. If you have to cancel at a later point, we can not guarantee a full refund, but we will try to fill your spot with another participant if there is a waitlist. Please get in touch with us at info@easy-spanish.org if you need to cancel.

We expect up to 40 students to participate in this year’s Easy Spanish Winter School. We will split up into smaller groups for many of our activities.

If you want to join us later in the program, need to leave a bit earlier or want to skip a day in between the Easy Spanish Spring School, that’s not a problem.
Please note that we cannot issue partial refunds or offer reduced pricing. If you know that you will miss certain days or events, please let us in advance at info@easy-spanish.org.

The Easy Spanish Winter School is focused on conversation and activity-based learning. It will also include grammar and vocabulary workshops, but mostly we want you to work on your spoken Spanish and give you the chance to practice your Spanish in a fun and active environment. Throughout the Winter School, we will work in several groups according to different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). We will usually do all activities together as a big group, but split up to do exercises and conversations in small groups that focus on your respective Spanish level. If you are a beginner, it will be useful if you have already done a basic beginners course in Spanish (A1 level) or have gained basic vocabulary and grammar knowledge on your own in order to fully benefit.
